Time flies when you are having fun!!
First of all we welcomed our baby girl Charlotte into the world on March 16th at 2:37 pm. She's wonderful and cute and definitely the new boss of the house. I'm on my iPad right now so i can't post pictures but i will soon, I promise. Hudson is finally acknowledging her, and after 5 weeks I might even go so far ar to say he even likes her.
Hudson's adoption finally went through on March 24th, and we received the documents in the mail on the 29th. While I never thought there would be a problem or that his birth parents would fight to get him back, it sure is nice to know he's officially ours. I went down to the registry office and ordered both my kids birth certificates and when they came in the mail they were issued on the same day, which is kind of neat.
Hudson turns two this weekend, I can't believe how much of a big boy he is. He talks from the time he gets up in the morning until the time he goes to bed, and never stops...he's also started asking why which is kind of annoying but we limit each set of why's? to 3 and that seems to be working so far. We had his birthday this past weekend because of Easter but we're going to go to a farm with a petting zoo and Easter egg hunt to celebrate his birthday as a family.
Hudson is very in to Thomas the Train these days, As well as Elmo and lightning McQueen. I have no idea what made him decide they were his favorites but he's obsessed with them all. He wears McQueen jammies until they rot off his body and sleeps with his die cast Thomas train every night...it's cute and boarders on crazy all at the same time.
Some of my favorite Hudson things right now are:
- hugs and kisses
- the way he says okay when he's excited about something
- when he tries to feed his little sister cookies because she's hungry
- the love he has for his daddy
I think that's it for now...I will post pictures asap and write a post on how wonderful Hudson's birth mum and family are.

An update on the Haglunds
Wow time flies when you're having fun! We finally got together with our Tummy Mummy Stacy today for some tobogganing and exchanging Christmas gifts; Hudson was spoiled as usual but I also thought it was so amazing that Stacy had got something for baby on the way as well!
Our adoption STILL hasn't gone through however we are getting close, hopefully another month and a half or so. I was saying to Stacy today that it would be funny if the new baby arrived on the same day the adoption was finalized...what a day that would be!
Hudson is a busy busy little guy and keeps me hopping, it's 9pm and I'm amazed I'm still awake. He likes to climb everything and I sometimes wonder if calling him monkey all the time gave him a predisposition for climbing! His language is coming along wonderfully and everyday I'm amazed at the new words he's picking up and stringing together to communicate with me.
We're finding it tough to have a daddy who works out of town these days, he's always asking where daddy is and everytime a truck drives by he thinks daddy is coming home. It's also a bit tough when daddy is home because Hudson is very good at getting what he wants from daddy and the transition is hard on him when daddy leaves again. I'm sure as time goes on he will becmoe more accustomed to the lifestyle of daddy coming and going but for now it's a bit hard on all of us.
I will leave you with some pictures of our Tummy Mummy Toboganning FUN!
