As it gets closer to baby's arrival, I've been getting more and more anxious to get the nursery done. Now that Dustin is home from work for a while - it seems as good a time as any!
We picked out some colours that we thought would match the crib bedding and decided on the one on right. Did I mention how much I love bright colours?
Once we had the paint colour settled it was time time to get to work. Dustin taped up the room like a man on a mission. I'm sure he was really happy that I was taking pictures instead of working!
Now it's time to call in the troops, well, it's only a tiny room so one trooper really...Grandpa to the rescue! He was a little shocked to see the colour we chose, but he just smiled and kept on painting. I assured him the colour will darken as it dries....
Grandpa stuck Dustin in the closet to paint...he said something about no one seeing the closet...
The happy painters deserve lunch, but not before a photo. I'm sensing they might be getting annoyed by my fun idea of capturing the fun on camera?
Back to work Dustin - just cause the painting is done, doesn't mean the nursery is finished!! The furniture assembly made Dustin a little nuts!
Even the pets wanted to help, which made Dustin's job even more fun!
We got it all put together - and with the bedding on it looks fantastic!
Then we put together the hutch - the top piece hasn't arrived yet, but Sears assures me it's coming next week!
All we need to do now is put together the dresser and put the decals on the walls...and of course wait for baby!
UPDATE: We finished the dresser and put one of the decals on the walls. We have to wait for the other decal to come in but it will be a cute giraffe peaking over the top of the crib.
